Parks & Recreation

The Township park is located on Recreation Road off Rt. 590 at the western edge of the township. 

Amenities include:

• baseball/softball field

• tennis courts

• basketball court

• children's playground

• picnic pavilion with picnic tables & charcoal grilles

• horseshoe pits

• 2 walking trails (1 at the ball field  and 1 at the pond)

• pond - with the addition of the former Christopherson property, the park will now have a pond (We are thinking "Fishing").  “Fishing in the pond requires a fishing license, and all Pennsylvania Fish Laws apply.  Please consider catch and release”.

The pavilion can be reserved for family reunions, birthday parties etc. by contacting Maureen Camasta at the township office at (570) 226-3115, Extension 10.

“At the May 2013 meeting of the Board of Supervisors a Resolution (2013-029) was passed that bans the use of Alcohol & Tobacco at the recreation ground. The entire recreation area in now an Alcohol & Tobacco Free Campus.  A written form of Rules and Regulations for the recreation ground will be posted at the recreation ground for you to look at, and it is also available here on our web-site under the “Parks & Recreation Link”.  The local and state authorities have been notified regarding the new Resolution.  The Board of Supervisors appreciates the cooperation of everyone regarding the new rules at the Recreation Ground”.
